How to Get More Bricks for LDD 3

LEGO Digital Designer 3 is a virtual building-block program that enables you to create structures on your computer. The program has a wide spectrum of bricks to create whatever you would normally make with real bricks. The only limit is the number of bricks. There are many types of bricks that differ in size, shape and color, and having the right bricks available is important preparation for any project.

Instructions

Move the mouse to the brick palette on the right side of the screen. Click the "Categories" palette located right above the "Brick" palette. Click on one of the brick categories. Move the mouse to the type of brick you are looking for and click the left mouse button.

    • 2

Press the arrow keys on the keyboard to rotate the bricks. Do not use the arrows on the number pad. The right arrow rotates the bricks to the right, the left arrow rotates the bricks to the left, and the up and down arrows rotate the bricks up and down, respectively. Click the arrows on the "Camera Gadget" to change the view around your model. The "Plus" and "Minus" buttons on the on-screen display zoom the view in and out, respectively.

Click the color you want your brick to be from the "Color" palette under the "Brick" palette on the right of the screen. You can color bricks that have already been placed by clicking the brick, selecting the paint tool and choosing a color. The colors with the "T" in them are transparent.
