How to Farm Eggs in Minecraft

"Minecraft" is a building game that allows you to gather materials and combine them to create various finished products. In "Minecraft," eggs are laid by chickens and used to create cake. When thrown, eggs have a one in eight chance of creating a new chicken; you can use this mechanism to farm eggs.

      Locate one or more chicken in the game world.

      Dig a pit at least two blocks deep under each chicken to avoid them wandering off.

      Wait for the chicken to lay eggs. On average, chickens lay an egg once every seven minutes.

      Collect the eggs.

      Throw the eggs into the pit in order to create more chickens.

      Repeat steps 3 through 5 until you have a sufficient amount of chickens in the pit. Ten to 20 chickens are usually enough.

      Wait for the chickens to lay more eggs and keep collecting them until you reach the desired amount.
