How to Make a Stick on Minecraft

Sticks are one of the most useful items in the sandbox computer game "Minecraft." They form the handles of all of the tools and weapons in the game, provide the frameworks for fences and ladders, and allow you to make torches, levers, paintings and more. Keep a stockpile of sticks in your inventory or a chest to ensure that you never run out of these useful items. As with all "Minecraft" components, you must gather the raw materials for this item before you can make it.

Instructions

  Walk to a tree. Click and hold the crosshairs on the tree; hold down the mouse button until the tree block disappears and a block of wood falls to the ground. Walk over the block of wood to pick it up.

  Press "I" to open your inventory screen. Drag and drop the wood block into a crafting slot in your inventory.

  Right-click the planks that appear to the right of the crafting slots. Click the lower-left crafting slot to drop the planks into it.

  Right-click the planks to pick up half of them. Click the upper-left crafting slot.

  Right-click the sticks that appear in the box to the right of the crafting slots. Click an empty slot in your inventory to drop the sticks into it.
