How to Change a Dota Version Switcher

Warcraft-Dota Version Switcher is a program to help "Defense of the Ancients" players easily swap between different patches of "Warcraft III." This allows players to play older versions of DotA that will only work on past patches of "Warcraft III." To change the patch version of "Warcraft III," install Version Switcher and use options to load a different patch. To change Version Switcher to have more patches to select, you can download additional patches and load them into the program.

Instructions

  Download Warcraft-Dota Version Switcher and extract the program on to your computer.

  Run the file "Wvs.exe" to install the program.

  Click on the "Options" button and enter your "Warcraft III" installation directory, which will be on your main hard drive in the "Program Files" folder.

  Exit the options menu and click the "Switch Version" button. Double-click on the patch to which you want to change "Warcraft III." Close Warcraft Version Switcher if the patch you want to run is not included.

  Download additional patch files and place them in the Warcraft Version Switcher folder. Run the "Wvs.exe" again and the new patch files will be in included on the list of available patches.
