How to Stop Carriers in Starcraft II

"Starcraft II," a real-time strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment, lets you take on the role of the Terrans, Zerg or Protoss as they vie for galactic dominance. For the Protoss, one of the most powerful units in the game is the Carrier, which launches several small drone fighters. These fighters can wear down nearly every other unit and leave your defenses a smoking ruin. To fight carriers, the best strategy is prevention, but sometimes that is not an option.

Instructions

  Secure all available resource sites on the map as quickly as possible. Carriers cost a lot of minerals and Vespene gas, so cutting off the supply will keep the Protoss player from building a fleet.

  Launch several small attacks on Protoss resource gathering sites. Destroy as many Probes and Nexuses as you can in small, quick attacks.

  Build Battlecruisers if you are the Terran player. Two Battlecruisers using a combined Yamato Cannon strike against a Carrier will all but wipe it out.
