How to Install Themes in Tidy Plates on World of Warcraft

The Tidy Plates add-on for "World of Warcraft" replaces the game's built-in floating health bars that appear above unit's heads in the game, known as nameplates. Tidy Plates includes several bundled themes, but also supports user-created themes. You can download and install a variety of custom themes for Tidy Plates that change the colours and graphical style of the game's nameplates. Each Tidy Plates theme is installed as a separate "World of Warcraft" add-on. You can switch between themes from within the game.

  Close "World of Warcraft" if it's open.

  Download a Tidy Plates theme and double-click the downloaded .zip file to open it in Windows Explorer.

  Right-click the Tidy Plates theme directory in the .zip file and select "Copy." The theme directory is named "TidyPlates_ThemeName," where "ThemeName" is the name of the downloaded theme.

  Click "Start" and select "Computer."

  Navigate to the "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\" folder on your computer. If you're using a 64-bit version of Windows, navigate to tee "C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\" directory instead.

  Right-click inside the "AddOns" directory and select "Paste."

  Open "World of Warcraft," sign in with your username and password and select a character.

  Press "Enter" while playing the game to activate the chat box, type "/tidyplates" into the chat box and press "Enter" again.

  Select an installed theme in the Tidy Plates configuration window that appears.
