Sign up your Sim for a class on Mixology at a restaurant in your town. After the completion of the class, your Sim will have gained his first level in the Mixology skill category.
Purchase a home bar or visit a club or bar to continue practicing Mixology. As with most skills, your Sim will gain levels through using the bar equipment; however, at Level 3 of this skill, he will only gain experience at professional-quality bars. All bars and clubs have professional-quality bars, but you can also buy either the Professional Bar Dive Edition or Professional Juice Bar to gain experience at home.
Mix enough drinks to reach Level 3 to unlock the Party Drink. Serve the Party Drink when you throw a party to increase the enjoyment level of your guests.
Reach Level 4 to unlock the Skill Booster Drink. When you drink the Skill Booster Drink, you will learn skills at a faster rate for four in-game hours. Make and drink Skill Booster Drink as much as you can to quickly gain levels in your Mixology skill.
Obtain Level 5 in the Mixology skill to make the Romantic Drink. This drink causes romantic social interactions to be more favorable when consumed.
Mix enough drinks to reach Level 6 to unlock the ability to create unique drinks. When making a unique drink, you are given the choice to add whichever ingredients your Sim has in his inventory. Visit the grocery store in town or harvest your own fruits to use in unique drinks. Higher quality ingredients make for higher quality drinks.
Reach Level 7 of the Mixology skill to unlock the Energy Drink. Drinking an Energy Drink will give your Sim a boost to his mood and keep him awake longer, even if his energy meter is low.
Obtain Level 8 to mix the Sorrow Annihilator. This allows Sims to forget about their sorrows and temporarily eliminates negative Moodlets from events such as losing a loved one or ending a romantic relationship
Learn the Crazy Drink recipe by reaching Level 9 in the Mixology skill. The Crazy Drink adds a +30 Moodlet and increases a Sim's fun meter.
Visit all of the bars and clubs in Bridgeport to learn the 42 unique named drinks in the game. Each bar or club has several named drinks for you to learn. However, to learn a unique drink, you must first be able to mix the associated generic drink. For example, the Llama Head Drink at Waylon's Haunt is based off of the Party Drink, so you must reach Level 3 to learn it.
Order all of the unique drinks available on the menu at bars and clubs to eventually learn their recipes. You may have to order the drink several times before your Sim can learn it.
