How to Make the Staff Happy in Restaurant City

"Restaurant City" is a Web browser-based management simulation game, developed by Playfish Games and released for iPhone, Internet browsers and Facebook. Players control many aspects of a restaurant business, from prices of food, to wait and cook staff, to the layout of the restaurant itself. One of the aspects players must micromanage is the happiness level of their employees, which governs how efficiently they work.

Instructions

  Rest your employees every time you log off. Restaurant city employees only need between three to six hours to rest fully, depending on how often you play. Fully rested employees can work for up to three hours before losing energy and happiness.

  Avoid over- or under-staffing the restaurant. The optimal employee ratio is one waiter and one cook for every three tables. Over-staffing decreases happiness more than under-staffing, due to the additional stress on each employee.

  Feed your employees every three hours or so with the most expensive item in the employee shop. Some players prefer this to resting because you don't need to close your restaurant to feed your employees, meaning they can regain happiness and energy while generating money.
