How to Make Minecraft Generate Levels Quicker

"MineCraft" allows players to generate worlds that span for hundreds of miles with the mere click of a button. While such creative freedom is a cornerstone of "MineCraft," such intensive processing can be a burden on many computers. Players can speed up the world generation process in "MineCraft" by altering the maximum limitations of Java and by altering the in-game configurations.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Java by locating it in the computer's "Control Panel" folder.

    • 2

Select the "Java" tab from the window that opens.

    • 3

      Select "View" to configure Java.

    • 4

Increase the maximum memory of Java from 256 MB to higher numbers, such as 512 MB and beyond. "MineCraft" requires Java to run, but the game uses more memory than Java allows. Removing Java's limitations should also remove "MineCraft's" limitations.

    • 5

Run "MineCraft" and select a world to enter.

    • 6

      Press the "Escape" key.

    • 7

      Select "Options."

    • 8

      Select "Video Settings."

    • 9

Change the "Render Distance" setting to "Short."
