How to Test a Map on Alien Swarm in SDK

SDK is a powerful development kit for games that use the Source Engine. Users of SDK can make custom maps and utilities for games such as "Half Life 2," "GMod" and "Alien Swarm." The SDK tool is available freely to all players through Steam and have a valid version of the game. To test a map for "Alien Swarm" in SDK you will need to install the Alien Swarm Authoring Tools and then load the map through SDK.

     Load Steam and select the Library tab.

     Double click "Alien Swarm - SDK" from the tools list to begin download and installation.

     Launch Alien Swarm - SDK from the tools list once it is complete and select the Hammer map editor.

     Click "File" and "Load" to search for the map you wish to test.
