How to Turn Your Skin Blue in Fable: The Lost Chapters

"Fable: The Lost Chapters" is a computer port of the original "Fable" made for the Xbox console. Computers allow a large amount of access to game files that is not possible on a video game console. The developers realized this when the computer version was made and added the ability for users to create custom tattoos. Tattoos can potentially cover your entire character's body. You can make a character have blue skin through the use of custom tattoos.

Instructions

    • 1

Close "Fable: The Lost Chapters" completely.

    • 2

Open the "Fable" folder in the "My Games" directory in "My Documents." This is not the directory in which "Fable: The Lost Chapters" is installed, but the folder that stores your save data.

    • 3

Open the "Tattoos" folder, which contains a folder for each of your characters. Open the folder for the character you want to give blue skin. Any changes you make to make your character blue only apply to this character.

    • 4

Open "arms.bmp" in this folder with an image editor that has a color balance tool. Color balance allows you to shift all of the colors in the image to a particular shade evenly. This tool allows you to change the skin color of your character without losing the shading that makes the two-dimensional image appear to be skin on a three-dimensional model. Paint does not have a color balance tool, but Photoshop, PaintShop Pro and GIMP all have this tool.

    • 5

Move the blue slider as high as possible. Move the red and green sliders as low as possible. This makes all of the colors in the image appear blue tinted, as though you were looking at them through a blue filter.

    • 6

Raise or lower the blue, red and green sliders slightly to adjust the shade of blue. This step is optional. Very small changes to the color balance have a significant impact on the shade. Adding too much red and green or too little blue causes other colors to appear, such as purple or shades of bluish-green.

    • 7

      Save the image.

    • 8

Repeat Steps 4 through 8 for "back.bmp," "chest.bmp," "face.bmp" and "legs.bmp" in the same folder.

    • 9

      Start "Fable: The Lost Chapters."

    • 10

Go to any tattoo artist. There is one in every town.

    • 11

Purchase the "Custom" tattoo for your arms, back, chest, face and legs to make your character's skin blue.
