How to Bind a Command to a Key in UT3

"Unreal Tournament 3" supports user-configurable key bindings. In addition to binding keys to standard in-game actions, you can also bind keys on your keyboard to console commands. Console commands such as "shot" to take a screenshot, or "stat fps" to show or hide the game's current frames per second, are normally typed at the in-game console. Binding a key to these commands allows you to quickly execute a command with a press of a button on your keyboard, instead of bringing up the console and typing the command.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "F10" key to open the in-game console while playing "Unreal Tournament 3."

    • 2

Type "setbind key command" at the console, replacing "key" with the name of the key you want to bind, and "command" with the command you want to bind to it. For example, type "setbind Y shot" to bind the screenshot command to the "Y" key, or "setbind I showhud" to bind the command that hides the game's interface to the "I" key.

    • 3

Press "Enter" to run the setbind command and press "F10" to hide the console.
