How to Run Radar Contact FSX

Radar Contact helps users maximize the realism of Microsoft Flight Simulator X, or FSX, flights. The Radio Contact applictions puts you in radio contact with live air traffic controller from the company's support team. You use the application to get your departure information or clearance from the airport's towers. But before you can start using your copy of Radar Contact, you'll first need to configure its settings.

      Insert your Radar Contact installation disk into your computer's CD/DVD-ROM drive -- the utility's installation wizard will launch automatically. Click "Next" on the installation wizard's welcome page, and continue on to the "Select Components" page of the wizard.

      Click on the "RCv4" option in the installation wizard's "Select Components" list. Click "Next," and then continue on to the end of the installation wizard.

      Launch Radar contact. The program's registration window will appear. Enter your name into the "First Name" and "Last Name" fields, and then type your product key into the "Key" field. Click on the confirmation button beneath the "Key" field to access the utility's main menu.

      Click on the "FS200x Flight Plan" button to load one of your FSX flight plans into the program -- browse for the flight plan file, using the file explorer window that appears.

      Click on the "Controller Info" button to set your radar contacts. Check the boxes next to the frequencies you'd like to receive during your preparation and flight. For example, you can receive "Departure" and "Clearance" broadcasts. Click "OK."

      Use the options in the "Plane Information and Options" menu, if you would like to make adjustments to the aircraft in your FSX flight plan, or simply click "OK" to continue.

      Click on the "Start RC" option in the program's main menu, and then launch FSX to begin playing the simulator with Radar Contact support.
