How to Disable a Sims Household

Though you control a Sim in "The Sims 3," it still has a mind of its own. If you want to live in a Sim neighborhood, but you do not particularly like the computer-created Sims, you can disable that household. By disabling, or hiding, a Sim household you are keeping that household from appearing in your Sim's world. You will not be bothered by phone calls or unwelcome visits by any Sim of that household.

     Load "The Sims 3" and select "New Game."

   • 2

     Click the "Play" button after selecting the town with the home you want to disable.

   • 3

     Click "Move In Household."

   • 4

     Select the family in the household you want to disable.

   • 5

     Click the "Hide" button.

   • 6

     Click "Accept" to accept the changes. The household will be hidden from the town.
