Visit Blizzard's employment website and search for openings in the moderator position. The best time to search for a job is just before, during, or after a game launch. When Blizzard's next project, "Diablo III," is released, Blizzard will likely be hiring new employees. Unfortunately, if there are no job openings for a moderator, you will have to wait until Blizzard posts an opening.
Send Blizzard your resume using the online application form, including your qualifications as an online moderator and all of your game experience with "World of Warcraft" and the forums. If you have little or no experience as an online moderator, show Blizzard your online forum history. Blizzard will be looking for forum posters who avoid flaming and trolling, encourage productive conversation and are generally friendly individuals. If you can prove you hold these attributes, your chances of getting the job will improve.
Write a compelling cover letter that expresses your passion, skill and devotion to the position of online moderator. The popularity of "World of Warcraft" means there are many applicants who are passionate about working for Blizzard. You need to make your cover letter stand out by saying something memorable about yourself. There is no perfect way to write a cover letter; just be sure your cover letter reflects your personality while displaying your qualifications.
Apply as a Game Master in "World of Warcraft" to increase your chances of becoming a moderator. Many moderator positions on the "World of Warcraft" forums are reserved for senior Game Masters.
If hired as a Game Master, work diligently at the position and make sure your superiors know that you aspire to become a moderator. Blizzard employees are regularly promoted to higher positions.
