"Pocket Empires" is an multiplayer online real-time strategy game made for the Android cell phone platform. In this game, players compete to destroy each other's towns. One of the most advanced units a town can produce is the ballista, which is an enormous crossbow that fires an exploding arrow. While the ballista compares unfavorably to the catapult in damage per second, health, and vulnerability to calvary, its relative cheapness makes it possible to field a sizable number of ballistas.

Upgrade your blacksmith to level 9. This will take several days as all upgrades take hours in real time.

Upgrade your Workshop to level 5.

Click on your workshop to produce the Ballista once it has finished upgrading. It will cost you 380 food to feed its operation crew, and 1,140 gold for their wages and machine construction.
