How to Make a Minecraft Throne

Minecraft is a computer game that was developed in 2009 by Markus Persson. The game's appearance gives it a vintage video game look because everything is pixilated. The characters, animals, crafted items and world -- including dirt, gravel, lava, wood, stone, diamond, wool -- are all made of blocks. Minecraft is a construction game that allows the players to build anything they can think of and execute. Many build elaborate homes or castles with throne rooms complete with thrones. There are two main designs used to build thrones, though adding personal touches to the throne is up to you.

Instructions

Style 1

  Collect the type of material you want to use for your throne. You may want a stone base with colored wool, gold or diamond as the cushion. Any block can be used to make the throne, even dirt.

  Place three of your base blocks down in a single horizontal row across for the bottom and back of the throne. Place three blocks on the ground in front of the bottom back row. The left and right blocks are your base color, but the middle is the "cushion" of your throne, so if you want it to be a different color, place the different block down in the middle of the front row.

  Add two base color blocks on top of the left and right side of the throne. Place another block on top of the back middle block.

  Place three base color blocks -- or any other color -- on the back row, all the way across the three blocks. Your blocks should now look like a throne.

  Change the colors or add to the structure. It is easy to remove and replace any block from the throne by using your pick axe to destroy the block and replace it with your new choice. You may want the cushion color to continue up the back of the chair or change the armrests to another type of stone.

  Make stairs out of wood or stone. To make stairs, open your crafting table and put one wood plank or stone block in the top left box, two in the middle left and middle center box and three in the bottom left, center and right box -- this will make four stairs.

  Drop one stair down on the ground. Drop another stair next and opposite to it so that the bottom steps are touching.

  Place two blocks of any type directly behind it. The stairs have two steps each, so if you are looking at your design, the top steps are either armrest on the throne.

  Place two more blocks on top of the two blocks you just placed. Your structure is now in the shape of a throne. This design looks best when it is of one color because it is a basic look and the cushion of the throne cannot be a different color from the armrests.
