How to Make Bots Jump in Team Fortress 2

Bots in "Team Fortress 2" can be run in two separate modes. Artificial intelligence (AI) bots operate automatically to emulate human players. They attempt to kill the other team, use basic teamwork and accomplish the game objectives. Puppet bots can only take actions if directly ordered to do so. AI bots are incapable of jumping. There is no situation where the artificial intelligence that governs these bots jump. Puppet bots are the only variant of the bots that you can make jump.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the "Advanced Options" menu from the main menu.

    • 2

Enable the Developer's console from the options menu.

    • 3

Press "~" to open the console while playing.

    • 4

Type "sv_cheats 1" into the console to enable cheat mode. This is required to use the puppet bot commands.

    • 5

Type "tf_bot_add #" into the console to add bots to the map. You only need to use this command if you do not already have bots present. Replace "#" with the number of bots you want to add.

    • 6

Type "bot_mimic 1" into the console. This command causes all of the bots on the map to perform the exact same commands you do. This is the only way to get bots to jump.

    • 7

Press "~" again to return to the game.

    • 8

Press the space bar to cause your character and all of the bots on the map to jump.
