How to Fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator X

"Microsoft Flight Simulator X" is a game for the PC that allows you to realistically fly a variety of aircraft. Depending on the type of aircraft you are piloting, such as a large jumbo jet or a small two-engine plane, it will control a bit differently. However, taking off and controlling the plane once in the air are done similarly -- although you may notice some planes turn and accelerate faster than others.

Instructions

    • 1

Start a flight level from any of the game's modes. Once the game loads, you will be in the pilot's seat inside the cockpit.

    • 2

Press slightly up on the throttle (F3) and keep the plane straight. As you gain speed, push the throttle forward.

    • 3

Press "Num Pad 8" to lower your elevator and slowly take off, once you have gained enough speed. The amount of speed will vary by the type of aircraft you are flying.

    • 4

Control the plane by using "Num Pad 8," "Num Pad 4," "Num Pad 2" and "Num Pad 6" to gain altitude, bank left, lower altitude and bank right, respectively.
