How to Get More Action Points in Dungeons and Dragons Online

"Dungeons and Dragons: Online" is a massively multiplayer role-playing game based on the pen and paper game "Dungeons and Dragons." The online game stays faithful to it's source material, basing character classes, spells and abilities on the Dungeons and Dragons Third Edition ruleset. Players use Action Points to buy character Enhancements from special trainers. As they complete quests and special tasks, they gain experience and levels. Each level bestows a number of Action Points for a player to spend on the Enhancements of their choosing.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate an NPC, or Non-Player Character, offering to give you a quest. These characters are identifiable by the golden chalice icon that appears above their heads.

    • 2

Initiate a conversation with the NPC and gather information concerning the quest.

    • 3

Start the adventure by traveling to the location that the NPC has told you about and by double-clicking on the beginning point. This is either indicated on the map as a yellow blinking door, or a green arrow for locations off the map. Information will appear concerning the name, length and difficulty of the quest. Adjusting the difficulty changes the amount of XP, or Experience Points, you receive for completing a mission.

    • 4

Complete the tasks assigned to you by the quest giver. Use the "L" key or the Quest button to bring up the Quest Journal to keep track of your objectives. Optional objectives may become available during completion of the quest and offer additional XP rewards.

    • 5

Return to the quest giver upon completion of your tasks and receive your XP award. Each character level has five ranks. Each rank achieved gains you an additional Action Point. Continue earning XP in this manner to acquire more Action Points.
