How to Use Fish as Bait in Sims 3

An entertaining and rewarding hobby, fishing serves many purposes for Sims. They can fish for recreation, or turn it into a profession. As fishing skills progress, rare fish can be sold for profit. Alternatively, an avid gardener can use those fish as fertilizer to grow everything from normal tomatoes to perfect flame fruit. One way to find the perfect fish to complete these goals is to fish with bait.

Instructions

  Run the "The Sims 3" application from your computer's desktop. Choose the town and family you want to play.

  Raise the chosen Sim's fishing skill level. Choose "Fish" when clicking on an outdoor body of water and fish until the skill level increases. You can also accelerate leveling and take a fishing class at the supermarket.

  Avoid selling or using the fish in your inventory. Once you're able to choose bait, your Sim will have a variety of bait options. At level 3, you will see "Choose Bait" when fishing, allowing you to fish with items such as produce. At level 5, you will be able to use the fish in your inventory.

  Experiment with the fish in your inventory. Match the bait with the desired fish by trying various items, until you catch the fish you are after.

  Purchase fishing books from the community bookstore. Learning bait and fish matches from books is faster: However, the books do not increase fishing levels.
