Can I Play NBA 2K10 on a Compaq CQ62 Laptop?

NBA 2K10, a basketball game from 2K Sports, can run on a number of Windows systems, but that doesn't guarantee that it will run on yours. If you are looking to buy a copy of NBA 2K10 to play on your Compaq CQ62 series laptop, you will want to first determine whether your computer can actually run it.

Operating System
- NBA 2K10 for the PC requires at least the Windows 2000 operating system, and will run with newer operating systems such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. As the Compaq CQ62 product line comes with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed, your laptop will run NBA 2K10 just fine.
Processor
- NBA 2K10 requires, at a minimum, a 2.8GHz single-core processor for Windows Vista systems, and so will have a similar requirement for Windows 7 systems such as the Compaq CQ62. Unfortunately, the Compaq CQ62 laptop line comes with either a 2.1GHz or a 2.2GHz processor, which is not powerful enough to run NBA 2K10. If you want to run NBA 2K10 on your laptop, you will need to upgrade the processor.
Memory
- NBA 2K10 requires, at a minimum, 1GB of RAM for Windows Vista systems, and so will have a similar requirement for Windows 7 systems such as the Compaq CQ62. As the Compaq CQ62 line comes standard with 2GB to 3GB of RAM, your laptop will have plenty of memoty to run NBA2K10.
Graphics Card
- NBA 2K10 requires a graphics card with at least 128MB of RAM. The card must also be DirectX 9.0c compatible, have Shader Model 3 support. The card's chipset must either be ATI x1300 or greater, or NVIDIA 6600 or greater. As the Compaq CQ62 line comes standard with at least the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics Card, you will have no problem running NBA 2K10 in that regard.
