How to Get a Town Hall in Cities XL

A town hall is essential for every town to function properly. In the city-building game "Cities XL," several different types of town halls are available for your city after it reaches a certain population. For example, you start off with a village town hall and move up to a city town hall when the population increases. When your city grows to a population of 1 million, you will unlock the largest town hall in the game.

Instructions

  Open a new file, and give it a name. The game starts with a blank area of land for you to build your city on.

  Click the "Utilities" icon in the left side of the screen, and select "Electricity," or the lightning bolt icon.

  Select the Power Plant, and click an area to place it. After this, you are given the Village Town Hall.

  Click the "Transportation" icon, and select the "Road" icon. Click and drag anywhere to build the road.

  Click the "Civics" icon, and select the "Village Town Hall." Place the building next to the road.

  Place different zones in areas in your city. This allocates the types of buildings that appear in different areas. You can zone areas as industrial, retail or residential. You can also choose low, medium or high density for each zone. The higher the density is, the larger the buildings are. You will now notice buildings appearing on your zones.

  Place police stations, fire stations, hospitals and schools along with parks; your citizens will be safer, happier and more educated. This increases the desirability of the areas in your city, which attracts more citizens and businesses. When the population of your city increases, you are rewarded with the Town Hall.

  Click the "Bulldozer" icon on the left side of the screen.

  Click the Village Town Hall to demolish it.

  Click the "Civics" icon, and select the "Town Hall" and place it in the same place as your old village hall.
