How to Give Yourself TNT in Minecraft

In "Minecraft," a sandbox creation game released exclusively for the PC in 2009, you can modify the world in any way you see fit. For example, you can build any structure you want and remove any block in the world. If you want to remove large groups of the world at a time for any reason, such as to make a gaping hole in a mountain or to create a crater, you can use explosive TNT to do the job, but first you must make it.

Instructions

  Obtain sand. You can dig or punch any sand block in the world to collect it. No special tools are required.

  Obtain gunpowder. This is more difficult to obtain, only found in dungeon chests or on the bodies of some green creepers and skeletons. Defeat these nocturnal enemies or locate an underground dungeon to find gunpowder.

  Right-click any crafting table to display a crafting grid.

  Drag a block of sand in the first and third squares of the center column. Drag sand into the first and third squares of the center row.

  Drag a pile of gunpowder into the remaining squares to give yourself TNT.
