Developed by Hothouse Creations, Ltd., "Gangsters: Organized Crime" was released in 1988 by Eidos Interactive and is considered to be one of the best strategy games ever made for the PC format. In the game you play a gangster who is attempting to take over a 1920's prohibition era suburb in Chicago. To win the game you must eventually become the mayor of your town, which is accomplished by utilizing extortion, bribery, theft and murder. To do this you need to attain vast amounts of money in order to afford your illegal endeavors. Using the following cheats and hints will help you earn more than enough money to complete this classic game.

  While in the lieutenant's screen, press your "caps lock" key. Type the words "i love hanson" and instantly $50,000 will appear in your safe.

  Type the letters D+A+R+T into the lieutenant's screen gang organizer. This will give $3,000 to all of your gangs.

  Type the letters D+A+R+T+S into the lieutenant's screen gang organizer. This will give $10,000 to all your gangs. You can only use this code once during game play.
Property Extortion

  Enable the $50,000 cheat code in the lieutenant's screen and then click on the property tab.

  Click on the list of homes available for sale and then click on a house that you would like to purchase.

  Click the "information tab" next to the home. All of the Information will appear on your screen with a photo of the home's owner. Place the mouse cursor to the left photo and it will change from an arrow to a square.

  Click your mouse when the cursor changes and the house will instantly become yours without costing a cent.

  Decide whether to sell the house for an instant profit, or keep it as an investment to sell later for a higher price. If you choose to keep the home, remember to send a mobster there to manage it or you will lose the house.
