Dex Guide for Warriors in MapleStory

In the game "MapleStory," players often desire to maximize the amount of damage their characters can inflict by spending the stat points they earn every level on a stat that affects the character's ability to deal damage. Therefore, players favor inputting all of their stat points in strength when they develop their warriors, leaving dexterity (or dex), an auxiliary stat, behind. However, not having enough dexterity can result in a warrior missing most of his attacks. To remedy this nuisance, players spend lots of money on dexterity scrolls to buff their equipment, allowing them to continue adding points in strength instead of dexterity.
  1. Cap at 4 Dexterity

    • At this level cap players add absolutely no points to dexterity to their warriors, which is why warriors with four dexterity are known as no-dexterity warriors. In fact, players try to start off at the minimum level of dexterity by clicking on the die prior to creating the character until the character has only four dexterity. A character with only four dexterity requires gear with lots of expensive dexterity scrolls to make up for the lack of dexterity and the accuracy it provides. The costs can go up to 430 million mesos depending on the server. However, no-dexterity warriors deal the most damage of all the different kinds of warriors.

Cap between 4 and 60 Dexterity

    • A warrior with dexterity between 4 and 60 is considered a low-dexterity warrior. These warriors still require dexterity scrolls to make up for the loss of accuracy, but the costs will be considerably lower than that of a no-dexterity warrior. The costs can range between 100 to 200 million mesos depending on the amount of the dexterity the player wants the warrior to have. These warriors still deal lots of damage, but tend to do less than no-dexterity warriors.

    Cap at 60 Dexterity

    • A warrior with 60 dexterity is neither a low-dexterity warrior nor a standard warrior. This dexterity cap is very popular with "MapleStory" players as it will allow a warrior to deal lots of damage without the intimidating costs of a low or no-dexterity warrior. This is the most popular warrior among "MapleStory" players who have a degree of funding.

    Cap at 90 Dexterity

    • A warrior with 90 dexterity is a standard warrior. While they still require a few dexterity scrolls at higher combat levels, these warriors require very little funding to succeed. Most players who have just started "MapleStory" and created a warrior as their first character should cap dexterity at 90. These warriors deal the least damage.
