How to Restore the Rank Mod in Call of Duty 4

"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is a first-person shooter that has a multitude of player-created mods that can be used to alter and customize your playing experience for the PC version of the game. Once you start using mods, you may want to install, or restore if you have deleted it, the Rank Mod. The Rank Mod allows you to gain experience for your class, even if you have other mods running.

Instructions

  Download the Rank Mod from the mod-hosting site of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" that you prefer, such as FileFront, GameFront or Strategy Informer. The mod is free-to-download and will be in a compressed folder.

  Extract the files from the compressed folder with the file extraction program of your choice, such as WinZip, ExtractNow or WinRAR. To extract the files, right-click the folder, click "Extract" or "Archive" and select a directory to install the files. Any directory is suitable for now.

  Place the contents of the folder inside the "Mod" folder of your "Call of Duty 4" directory. If a prompt appears asking you to overwrite files, click the "No to all" option. Overwriting these files can cause the loss of your profile and accumulated stats. The mod will be activated the next time you start the game.
