How to Change the DAT File on Final Fantasy XI

"Final Fantasy XI" is massively multiplayer online role playing game, or MMORPG, that takes place in the popular Final Fantasy universe. The models that are used for characters, non-player character and objects in the game are stored on the user's computer as .dat files. By moving these files or replacing them with customized models, their appearance will change for you when playing the game, though the changes will not be visible to other players. The .dat files can only be changed on the PC version of the game, not the PlayStation or Xbox versions.
