Commander: Conquest of the Americas Requirements

Before you purchase a computer game you need to check that your computer meets the minimum system requirements to run it. Ideally, your system will exceed the minimum specifications to give you better graphics and performance. In "Commander: Conquest of the Americas," you play as a European nation as you try to conquer the New World.

Operating System
- "Commander: Conquest of the Americas" is geared toward Windows users as opposed to users running the Linux or Mac operating systems. The developers require that you run a minimum of Windows XP but Windows Vista and 7 are also supported and preferred.
Memory
- The RAM in your computer stores instructions temporarily until the processor accesses and processes them through the system. The game developers recommend a minimum of 2 GB of RAM although higher levels of RAM are necessary for multi-tasking.
Processor
- Your system needs to have adequate processing power to handle the instructions as they pass through the system. A minimum of the Intel Core 2 Duo operating at a speed of 2.0 GHz or higher is recommended.
Video Card
- If you want to run your game with maximum graphic effects you'll want a dedicated video card with at least 256 MB of graphics RAM with support for Pixel Shader 3.0. The Nvidia 7800 or equivalent or higher is recommended to run the game without experiencing skipping or laggy visuals.
