How to Disable Bloom Effects in Colin McRae: Dirt

"Colin McRae: Dirt" is the last game to feature the likeness of Scottish rally legend Colin McRae before his untimely death in 2008. On the PC version, many more advanced graphical options are enabled by default, one of which is "bloom" lighting. This is a graphics card shading effect that reproduces the way cameras capture objects that reflective, creating an over-saturated brightness. Many players on systems with lower technical capabilities find it beneficial to disable this effect to improve frame rate.

Start the game to confirm that the lighting effect has been disabled. You can play with the slider to minimize the effect rather than completely disable it.
