How to Get to the Boot Menu in Counterstrike Source

"Counter-Strike: Source," or CSS, is a multiplayer computer video game from Valve Corp. which requires its players to use the Steam application from the same developer to install and launch the game. By editing the launch, or boot, options of "Counter-Strike: Source," you are able to edit various advanced settings to, for example, troubleshoot a problem you might encounter while playing the game. While you cannot edit the game's boot settings while in-game, you can access a special menu within Steam which allows you to set your own launch settings.

     Right-click on the Steam icon in your taskbar and click on "Library."

     Right-click on "Counter-Strike: Source" in the list of games which appears in the left-hand pane and select "Properties."

     Click on the "Set launch options" button. You can now type any advanced settings command in that window. Click on "OK" to confirm those new settings. "Counter-Strike: Source" now uses those new launch settings every time you start the game.
