An echo detector is a device used to help players find various artifacts in the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat" computer game. "S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat" is a first-person shooter game that takes place in and around the city of Pripyat. Players work to find artifacts in and around anomalies that they can sell, give as rewards or wear on their battle suits. One of the main advantages of finding artifacts is the fact that they enhance the player's abilities.

     Purchase an echo detector for a cost of 150 Ru.

     Look for artifacts near anomalies, such as chemical anomalies, electric anomalies and heat anomalies.

     Bring out the echo detector when you are looking for artifacts.

     Listen for it to begin beeping. When you are getting closer to an artifact, the echo detector will begin beeping faster. If you are moving farther away from one, the echo detector will beep slower.
