How to Build a Bowazon in Diablo 2

"Diablo II" (D2) is Blizzard Entertainment's highly anticipated sequel to the original "Diablo." D2 improves on the size and scope of the first installment with four unique areas of travel with above- and below-ground environments. Five playable classes are now included. Among them is the Amazon, who can excel in both melee and ranged combat. The Bowazon is an Amazon character who focuses on taking out her enemies from a distance.

Instructions

  Build your Bow and Crossbow tree around either "Multiple Shot" or "Strafe." "Multiple Shot" splits a single shot into multiple bolts or arrows, and is good for taking out groups of enemies. Mana use is heavy, though mana leech items will compensate for this. "Strafe" attacks up to 10 enemies while at a standstill. "Strafe" leaves your character open to attack, as you cannot move until all of your arrows or bolts have fired.

  Put one point into "Magic Arrow" and "Cold Arrow." These are prerequisites to access the rest of the skill tree. If you focus on "Multiple Shot," put 20 points into it. If not, add one point. Put 20 points into "Guided Arrow." If you choose to use "Strafe" instead of "Multiple Shot," add 20 points to it, and otherwise add none.

  Build your Passive and Magic tree. Add a single point to "Critical Strike," "Dodge" and "Avoid." Max out "Penetrate" with 20 points and add a single point to "Evade" and "Pierce."

  Ignore the Javelin and Spear tree and disburse remaining skill points evenly among the skills you've placed a single point into.

  Distribute points among your attributes. Increase Strength only to the point where you can wear your equipment. Focus the rest of your points between Dexterity and Vitality. Place no points into your Energy stat. They are better used elsewhere. Use potions to keep your mana full.
