How to Use the Un-Retire Mod on Fate

After completing the PC game, "Fate." you can retire your character and start a new game with his or her descendant. You won't have to start from scratch. After retiring your old character, you can pass on a bit of his or her legacy to the character's descendant. However, retirement is permanent in the game. So if you decide you'd like to reactive your old character, you'll need to use an external modification, or "mod," to bring your character out of retirement.

Instructions

  Download a free copy of the Un-retire mod from PC Talk (pctalk.info), and launch it -- the mod requires no installation.

  Click on the mod's "..." button to browse for the Fate save file you'd like to work with -- select the save file, using the file explorer window that appears.

  Type "0" below your character's name to un-retire him or her. Check the "Create Backup" box, and then click on the "Do it" button to un-retire your character.

  Click on the "Exit" button to close the application.
