How to Make Umbra Hit About 106 on MapleStory

"MapleStory" allows players to travel throughout a vast world and create fully customizable characters. "MapleStory" also contains various scrolls that can be used to upgrade damage capabilities of weapons. Knowing how to increase the strength of your umbra will allow your character to defeat stronger monsters and receive a higher amount of experience points after a battle. By successfully navigating through the world of "MapleStory," obtaining upgrade scrolls, and using them to upgrade your Umbra, a player can get the Umbra to hit around 106.

Instructions

Train Your Character

  Train against various monsters. Battle monsters that appear on the roads outside each city to gain experience points. These monsters will also drop items such as "Mesos" and occasionally weapon upgrade scrolls. Collect any items that are dropped. Continue to battle monsters until your character has reached level 60.

  Open your "Character Attributes" window. Different attributes will be listed. Locate the "Strength" attribute.

  Click the arrow next to the number in the "Strength" field to increase your character's strength. Continue to increase the strength until you have reached the maximum possible amount of character strength.
Locate Upgrade Scrolls

  Visit the "Free Market." Within each city is an area called the "Free Market" where other players sell items they have collected. Examine each player's inventory. If the inventory contains an upgrade scroll, purchase the item. Your goal is to obtain a total of seven upgrade scrolls.

  Locate a scroll seller that matches the class of your character. Scroll sellers will only sell items to characters that are within the same class as them.

  Travel to the your character's specific guild headquarters. If your character is a mage, travel to the city of Ellina, if your character is a warrior, travel to the city of Perion, if your character is an archer travel to the city of Henesys and if your character is a rouge travel to the city of Kerning.

  Approach the scroll seller and initiate dialog. Either the scroll seller's inventory or quest window will appear. Read through the dialog to learn how to obtain the upgrade scroll.
Apply the Upgrade Scroll

  Press the "I" key" on your keyboard to open the "Equipment and Inventory" window.

  Navigate to the umbra you would like to upgrade, then click "Equip." Your character will begin holding the umbra.

  Navigate to the scroll you would like to use on the umbra. Click and drag the scroll onto the umbra. The scroll will be applied and the weapon will be stronger. Repeat this step until you have used all seven upgrade scrolls.
