How to Unlock New Hairstyles for Sims 3

"The Sims 3" is a life simulation computer game built upon the foundation of customization. For example, you can purchase additional hairstyles not available in the base game from the "Sims 3" online store by Electronic Arts. Once purchased, they automatically load into your "Sims 3" launcher. Here, you must install them to unlock them within the game. You can purchase hairstyles online using SimPoints on your EA account.

Instructions

  Go to the "Sims 3" official website. Click "The Store" on the upper toolbar.

  Click "Hair" in the sidebar, followed by either "Male" or "Female."

  Click the hairstyle you want, followed by "Purchase." You will be prompted to log in if you are not already, and then points are automatically deducted from your account. Your "Sims 3" launcher will also load the hairstyle for installation.

  Click the check mark box beside your newly purchased hairstyle. Click "Install."
