How to Check Your Swing in MLB 2K10

"MLB 2K10" is a sports simulation game which strives for complete realism in its game play, so there was disquiet among fans of the franchise when the option to check a batter's swing was removed from the 2010 edition of the game. Developers 2K games acknowledged the concerns of fans by releasing a patch for the game which re-introduced the check swing option. If you have an original copy of the game you will need to download and install the patch before you are able to use the check swing move.

     Download the "MLB 2K10" patch from the official 2K Sports website.

     Unzip the patch and double click on it to run the install wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the patch.

     Copy the patch file onto a USB stick and install it from there through the console menu if you are playing on a PlayStation 3 or an Xbox 360.

     Load up the game and start a game.

   • 5

     Push the right analog stick downwards while you are making a swing to check it.
