How to Create a Lake in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3

Open "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" and select "Play" from the main menu. Select "Sandbox Mode" from the list of gameplay options. Click on "Start Game."

Select "Terrain Tools" from the menu on the side of the screen. Look for the icon shaped like a shovel. Click on "Terrain Shaping" then select "Lower Terrain." Choose "Create Trough."

Press on the left-click button on your mouse to carve out a hole in the landscape. Hold down the button to create a deeper hole for the water to be placed. Hold the mouse and point at other parts of the map to expand the width and range of the lake surface.

Select "Terrain Tools." Open "Fill With Water" and click on the hole you created to place water inside. Click higher on the chasm to raise the water to your preferred height. Practice these steps before loading your normal game.

Load your normal game and repeat the steps. Watch your money since using the "Terrain Tools" options can quickly empty your theme park's bank account.
