How to Expand the Protoss in Starcraft 2

"Starcraft 2" is a real-time strategy game developed by Blizzard Entertainment for the PC. One of the playable factions available to players is the Protoss. The Protoss are an ancient alien race whose technology far surpasses that of the Terran faction, and whose units are pound-for-pound tougher then the Zerg faction. Understanding the basic expansion mechanics behind the Protoss is the first step to mastering Protoss gameplay. Without a solid understanding of Protoss base mechanics, you will be overwhelmed by the Zerg, or out produced by the Terrans.

Instructions

  Build probe units from your starting Nexus. The probe acts as your main worker unit when playing as the Protoss and also acts as your miner unit.

  Gather minerals from surrounding mineral nodes.

  Build Pylon units around the area in which you want to establish your base. Protoss buildings must be built in a Pylon's energy radius to function.

  Build an Assimilator over an open Vespene Gas vein, then assign probes to gather the gas.

  Build advanced buildings and units as you gather the necessary resources.
- 6
  Establish a new Nexus in an untapped area of the map to further your area of control and increase your resource pool.
