How to Troubleshoot the Shortcuts for Return to Ravenhearst

"Return to Ravenhearst" is part of the "Mystery Case Files" series of PC computer games, in which players solve mysteries by looking for clues within scenes. If, for some reason, the game does not start after you click the shortcut on your desktop or if you receive an error message, you can troubleshoot the problem and get back to the game.

  Ensure that your computer has the proper minimum system requirements to play the game. Your computer must be running Windows XP or Vista, have at least an 800 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM, and have 347 MB of free hard-drive space and DirectX 7.0 or higher installed. If your system does not meet these requirements, you can't play the game.

  Download the latest software updates for the game. You can download updates for the game and for DirectX by clicking on the proper link for your operating system on the game's customer support page.

  Update your video card's drivers. You will need to go to the website for the manufacturer of your video card and search for "Drivers" to find these download files. Download these drivers and click on them to install them.

  Click on the "Start" button and then select the "Control Panel" option. Click the "Add/Remove Programs" option and then select "Return to Ravenhearst" from the menu. Click "Uninstall" to remove the program. Open the game's original installation file to reinstall the game. A fresh installation will fix any issues and allow you to play the game.
