How to Kill Amdusias in Divinity II

Amdusias is the name of a truly impressive Draconic being in "Divinity 2: Ego Draconis." He is also a boss character you'll have to destroy in order to continue with the main game's plot. Given that he is a dragon and therefore several dozen times the size of your main character, this task may sound rather difficult. Fortunately, you do not need to fight him in Dragon form, and instead will use a magic spell to turn him into a human. Unfortunately, his human form is also quite powerful.

Instructions

  Run forward as soon as you enter Amdusias' room towards the Blood Altar near the middle of said room.

  Pick up the Dragon Scales just in front of the altar, then quickly open your inventory and use the "Orbis Arcesso" item. Amdusias will transform into a human form and start attacking you from a distance.

  Use one of the two following strategies depending on your class: If you are a warrior, dash up to Amdusias and start whaling on him with your weapon. Amdusias is weak in melee combat, but his ranged shots are absolutely devastating. If you are a mage or a ranger, hide behind the rubble scattered around the room and send your pet in to attack Amdusias at close range. Start shooting at Amdusias once he engages your pet.

  Continue attacking Amdusias in either manner described in Step 3. Despite his high-ranged power, Amdusias is actually fairly frail in his human form and should succumb quickly to your attacks.
