In "The Sims," you will need to provide a home for your Sim. You may move him into a pre-existing home or create one from scratch using the tools available to you. The most basic element of home creation is the construction of walls. You may place walls anywhere on your Sim's lot by dragging the "Wall Tool" across empty squares. If you end up placing a wall where you do not want it, it may be deleted.

Click the "Build Mode" button.

Click the "Wall Tool."

Press and hold down the "CTRL" key while dragging the "Wall Tool" over the wall you wish to delete. This will delete the wall.
