How to Make a Two-Story House in Sims 3

"The Sims 3" is a single-player simulation game available for PC and Mac. In the game, you take control of a virtual character, called a "Sim," and control his life. One major aspect of his life is the house in which he lives. Every Sim you control needs a place to live, and it is up to you to provide it for him. You may move your Sim into a vacant house or create a new one from scratch. A common floor plan is a two-story house. A two-story house allows you to give your Sim more living space on a small plot of land.

  Click "Build Mode" and select the "Wall Tool."

  Create walls for the first level of the house. Click on an empty square and hold down the left mouse button. Drag the mouse to create a wall.

  Click the icon that looks like a house in "Build Mode." Select "Up" to create a new level for your house.

  Click on "Staircases" from the "Build Mode" menu. Select a staircase and place it on the ground floor in a location of your choice.

  Select the "Wall Tool" and create walls for the second level of your house.

  Complete your house. Add inner walls, create floors with the "Floor Tool" and add any additional finishing touches.
