How to Fly a Virtual Airline on Flight Simulator X

Microsoft's "Flight Simulator X" is a simulation game for the PC that allows you to realistically step into the pilot's seat and fly a variety of aircraft, ranging from a small two-engine plane to a large, jumbo-jet air cruiser. If you have always wondered what it is like to be the pilot of a major airline, you will have to ability to fly for several fictitious airlines, all of which feature realistic planes that are operated by their actual counterparts.

Instructions

  Click "Quick Fly" from the game's main menu. The "Pre-Flight Briefing" will appear.

  Click the "Plane" options from the "Pre-Flight Briefing" menu on the right side of the screen.

  Click "Airlines" from the top drop-down menu. By default, the menu is set to "Aircraft."

  Click any of the listed airline names. There are 11 different airlines in the game, but they all feature similar planes, which is primarily the Boeing 737-800.

  Exit the menu and click "Start Flight" at the top-right corner to begin flying the air cruiser.
