How to Fast-Forward in Flight Simulator X

The Microsoft "Flight SImulator" series is one of the most realistic flight-simulator packages available. When gaming you have access to the cockpits of various aircraft, outside views and a number of landscapes based on cities and airports worldwide. When you are flying between two airports you can fast-forward to your approach to the next airport to avoid doing the flight in real time, which can be many hours.

     Start your flight and proceed until you have leveled out after take off.

     Click on the "Inflight" menu. Click on "Options."

     Point to "Simulation Rate." Set a simulation rate from the options. If you have increased the simulation rate to higher than normal, then the speed will be indicated in the top-right corner of the screen.
