How to Become a Marshal on Mount and Blade

"Mount and Blade" is TaleWorld's first foray into the computer gaming industry. It was produced by a husband and wife team working out of Turkey, and is the closest computer games have come to producing a physics-based medieval combat simulator. You play a wandering warrior in the fictional land of Calradia, and can rise through the medieval ranks to attain several levels of status. Marshal is the highest rank you can attain in Mount and Blade, and can be achieved only through a vote of your fellow lords.

Instructions

- 1
  Increase your Renown level. You don't need to reach a set level, but the higher you can get it, the better. Kill wandering armies, take over towns and cities, and defeat bandits to raise your Renown level.

  Befriend lords in your faction. You can become Marshal only if all the lords like you enough to vote for you. Complete quests for them, or defeat them in battle then release them, to raise their opinion of you.

  Build your relationship with the King -- or other leader -- of your chosen faction. The higher the king thinks of you, the more likely it is that he will suggest you for consideration as Marshal.

  Wait for the King to call for a vote. You cannot force this event, you must just wait until the King of your chosen faction decides there ought to be a new Marshal in the territories.

  Vote for yourself when the vote is called. If enough lords vote for you, you will be declared the new Marshal.
