How to Create an Arena Team on World of Warcraft in Cata

Once players have reached the level 85 cap in "World of Warcraft," they have a variety of end-game options to play through. These include high-level dungeons, raids and Player vs. Player content. The arena system is a form of Player vs. Player combat where two evenly matched groups of players are thrown into one of the various combat arenas across the in-game world to fight to the death. To participate, players must first create their own arena team.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to "World of Warcraft." Enter the world on the character you want to compete in arena combat.

    • 2

Open the "Player vs. Player" menu by pressing the "H" key, or by clicking on the button at the bottom of the screen between the "Dungeon Finder" and "Guild Finder" buttons. A new window will appear on the left side of your screen.

    • 3

Select the "Arena" tab at the bottom of the new window to open up the Arena Team options page. Each of your three possible arena teams will be represented by a flag at the top of this page. If you do not currently have any arena teams, these flags will be blank.

    • 4

Click on the flag that corresponds with the size of team you want to create. A new window will open up next to the "Player vs. Player" window.

    • 5

Type in your team name at the top of the new window and customize the appearance of your team's banner. Press the "Create" button when you have finished. The team will automatically be created. You will become the team's captain, allowing you to add other players and join arena battles.
