How to Put Stairs on a Deck in Sims 3

The decks can add a more personalized and modern look to your Sims home. Stairs also can help your home stand out from others in the neighborhood. Stairs are optional, but they help increase the ease with which your Sim navigates from the deck to the yard.

     Launch "The Sims 3" game, and click the house you want to change.

     Click "Build Mode" in the control panel. Hover your mouse over the icons, and click "Stairs, Railings &Elevators."

     Review the styles of stairs available for your deck. Click on the desired style for your deck.

     Place the stairs in the area on the deck where desired. Left-click to confirm the placement.

     Click "Live Mode" to return to your game.
