How to Build Extractors in Sins of a Solar Empire

Extractors are vital pieces of infrastructure in the space-based strategy computer game "Sins of a Solar Empire." Extractors mine important minerals from asteroids which you need to build new structures and units and expand your empire. There is an extractor for both types of mineral, metal and crystal, and you will need several of each type of extractor to build and maintain a successful empire. For this reason, they will be among the first structures you build in any game.

     Move your Capital Ship to an asteroid belt where you would like to build an Extractor.

     Click on your Capital Ship and open the Build menu at the bottom of the screen.

     Select the Extractor you want to build: crystal or metal.

     Click on the asteroid you want to place the Extractor on and wait for it to be built.
