What Is a T-Spin on Facebook's Tetris?

A t-spin is used on Tetris as a technique to complete lines on the video game. Tetris is one of the many application games available on Facebook that you can play individually or with your Facebook friends. When you use the t-spin you will find that your score improves greatly, but you must plan ahead when using the t-spin because you have to leave space for the block to fall perfectly.
  1. Points

    • T-spins are needed to break high scores. Without moves like the t-spin you cannot achieve more than an average score on the game. Depending on the Facebook Tetris you play, the t-spin may unlock achievements. When a t-spin is used you can earn 1.5 times your score. If you complete back-to-back t-spins you will earn three times your score. If you complete a t-spin zero (meaning it breaks no lines), you earn 400 points regardless.

    Mode

    • T-spins are not available in all modes. It's best to use in the marathon mode on Facebook's Tetris game. A t-spin is not easy to complete if there is not enough room to twist the "t" to a new direction. This will vary based on the speed of falling bricks and your reaction time.

    Movement

    • To complete a t-spin you must use the keyboard on your computer. The up and down keys make hard or soft drops depend on where you move the block and how quickly. The left and right arrows move the block left and right. Use the "z" and "x" to make left or right rotations.

    Shortcuts

    • On a keyboard, you can use short cuts for easier completion of the t-spin. The "w" and "S" keys are used for a hard and soft drops. The "a" and "d" keys are used for left and right shifts while the "j" and "K" keys more the blocks left and right. The "space" bar holds the blocks in place.
